In the lands nearest to the South, a rare earthquake shook loose a section of canyon, revealing a hollow beyond. In this hollow the ground is still mostly dry and unforgiving, but sectioned away in a corner of the clearing is some vegetation surround a beautiful, precious spring. The Southerners hold that it should belong to them, while the Northerns feel it is close enough to their lands that they should use it as well. It is a serious point of contention, but so far it is indeed a small common area.
